About Laura Doré

For any artist, regardless of what avenue they choose to travel—being labeled, stereotyped, or pigeon-holed is always a nightmare. When you’re expressing yourself through your art, the very last thing you ever want to hear are judgmental statements referring to you only being able to excel in one particular field.

A sign of true creativity is when a critic is at a loss for words; therefore causing the “so-called” box he or she wanted to put you in prematurely, to remain unfilled.  Laura Doré is an artist who knows no boundaries, loves to take risks, and has a penchant for pushing the envelope far beyond its limitations.

Before she became known as “Laura Doré”, she was just Laura from Austin, Texas
a relatively shy girl who didn’t start to feel comfortable in her own skin until her late teenage years. She began modeling in 2006 after a chance meeting with Cummings Media, Inc. CEO and SHOW magazine Publisher, Sean Cummings; landing her first magazine feature in the inaugural issue of SHOW later that year

Laura Doré has since risen to prominence in the world of urban/glamour, gracing the covers of publications such as Girls Of Lowrider, Street Low, SHOW's Black Lingerie, as well as the premier edition of SHOWCase. She has also been featured in FHM, XXL’s Eye Candy, and Blackmen's magazine.

Besides print work, Laura Doré also has been a featured model in the music videos for Slim Thug's 'Theme Song, Kanye West’s ‘Amazing’ featuring Young Jeezy, and most recently Jamie Foxx's ‘Digital Girl’ featuring The-Dream, Kanye West, and Drake.

Laura Doré's true passion lies within the realm of fetish, burlesque/pinup artistry, where she has been able to distinguish herself as multi-faceted performer and unique talent. Her first latex feature appears in world renowned fetish magazine Marquis. She has also adopted the persona of  “Sweetie Cyanide,” to express the darker side of her mind—exhibiting the full array of her interest which stretch far beyond the elements of glamour modeling.

When it comes to her future endeavors, you can count on Laura Doré  continuing to explore the worlds of glamour, fashion, burlesque/pinup and fetish modeling while elevating her art.
